UniTime 3.1 is an open-source enterprise system for automated construction of demand driven course and examination timetables. It also provides event management capabilities and a limited student scheduling capabilities. It is a distributed system that allows multiple university and departmental schedule managers to coordinate efforts to build and modify a schedule that meets their diverse organizational needs while allowing for minimization of student course conflicts.

The new version (UniTime 3.2) of the system will include curriculum-based course timetabling and more student scheduling (e.g., including the new Student Scheduling Assistant) capabilities delivering a complete package covering all the timetabling needs of a university or any other educational institution.
